Ever since he can recall, Dominic has been fascinated with the brain, especially as it relates to achieving peak performance in sports…
Dominic began his quest early, as an athlete and baseball scholarship recipient of San Diego Christian College. However, just as the pro-baseball teams were scouting him as a potential recruit, Dominic’s dreams of playing pro were cut short by a career-ending injury. This forced Dominic to take a hard look at revising his future career path; and using his Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Dominic discovered his passion for helping other athletes achieve their own peak performance capabilities.
Dominic’s mission was to take his pro-athlete clients further than simply teaching how to build mental strength and a competitive mindset, and this is how he stumbled upon neurofeedback training. After sitting for more than 20 neurofeedback sessions with Charlene, Dominic felt transformed and better than he had ever felt in all of his young years.
Dominic convinced Charlene to take him under her wing, and he was eventually trained on how to properly operate a Brainpaint neurofeedback system. With additional coursework, supervision, and upon completion of 500 neurofeedback internship hours, Dominic was ultimately certified as a Neurofeedback Technician by the NTCB (Natural Therapies Certification Board) and became a neurofeedback provider himself.
Dominic was subsequently offered the position of neural rehabilitator at MUSE Treatment Center, where he continued to provide neurofeedback sessions and went on to be trained and certified as a provider of additional therapeutic modules, including biofeedback and TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation). Furthermore, Dominic worked as a group facilitator for MUSE and provided educational groups to their clients struggling with mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
